Celiac Disease

The genetics of celiac disease is not completely understood although family members of a person with celiac disease do appear to be at increased risk.  Individuals with Down syndrome are also at an increased risk for celiac disease.

I have not yet researched this disease in detail.  BE CAREFUL when you search the web because not all of the information is accurate or based on scientific research.

The following link is a site hosted by a business called The Center for Nutrition and Digestive Disorders.  They are probably trying to sell their services and the information may not all be backed up by strong scientific research.
