| Inaccurate and Misleading Information -- This links to a website that initially looked like it had a lot of great information. Although the website may have some truth to it, some of the claims seem exaggerated and I have found at least one serious mistake where the author misinterprets the scientific literature on Fragile X syndrome. It may just be an honest misunderstanding about X-linked inheritance and X-inactivation, but illustrates why a basic understanding of inheritance patterns is critical when reading the scientific literature. |
